Canadian Screen Awards Is Almost Here
Buckle up, because Canada’s biggest (and best?) awards show is set to air this Friday, and the lineup looks pretty good.
Hosted by Canadian Comedian Mae Martin, the event will take place in Toronto in the afternoon, and be streamed that same evening.
One notable film is already gaining some attention. BlackBerry, which follows the rise and fall of the world’s first smartphone, is making history after receiving the most film nominations in the history of the CSA’s.
It was nominated 17 times in categories including Best Motion Picture, Achievement in Direction, and Performance in a Leading Role, Comedy for Jay Baruchel.
