Kerner Studios Canada Inc., located in Vancouver, B.C., is a subsidiary of the Kerner Optical Group, based in Marin County, California.    Kerner is a former " George Lucas" company and spin off  of "Industrial Light and Magic" (ILM), the legendary special effects arm of Lucasfilm which has produced some of the most astounding visual effects for many of the highest gross blockbuster films of our time.

Kerner Studios Canada Inc. has been established for the purpose of expanding Kerner's presence outside of the U.S.A. in 3D content production, 3D capture systems and related 3D technologies and services.

As part of this move by Kerner to confirm its industry leadership to the world in 3D technology development and production, Kerner Canada Inc. has selected the Central Okanagan as its proposed home to manufacture  and distribute its leading edge second generation of 3D capture systems.

In mid-July, 2010, Kerner Canada Inc. and its parent company, Kerner Optical U.S.A. will be demonstrating its new 3D capture system, the Kerner 7000, to audiences in our central region at special venues.

The excitement will heighten when those in attendance at these venues will be able to view themselves in live action 3D whilst listening to the Kerner executive describe the new world of 3D that is here to stay.  Stay tuned, Okanagan Valley, as described in two recent articles - the 3D revolution is here....
